North Devon Hospice
The Forever Stone arrives
North Devon Hospice came to us with a challenge their very future depended on – the need to make sure they could continue to rely on gifts in wills to fund around a quarter of the £4.5m they need every year.
Creatively, we needed to delicately bring legacy conversations to the fore.
And so we created The Forever Stone.
The idea – to erect an evocative, thought-provoking monument dedicated to those who leave a bequest to North Devon Hospice, as a springboard for legacy conversations.
Then we went further.
Rather than inscribe the Stone with the names of legators, we created an AR experience around it.
By holding an iPad up to the Forever Stone, the names and stories of legacy givers are mapped over the Stone, for any Hospice visitor to explore.
The Forever Stone was unveiled in May, entrancing guests with power of the symbol and the AR experience. Nurses from North Devon Hospice report that new legacy conversations are already being inspired by the Stone and our supporting campaign.
Kate Cox, Bray Leino CEO said: “If the Forever Stone can help North Devon Hospice continue its magnificent work, then we’ll feel proud to have left a legacy too.”
