Art in The Roost
A sense of place
Acclaimed North Devon ceramicist Sue Rossiter uses local earths and muds to make slips, glazes and paints. These go into creating striking panels, paintings and sculptures that combine traditional craft techniques like winding, weaving and spinning.
We like her because she’s clearly just as inspired by our location as we are. Her collection, currently residing in The Roost, is called, ‘A Sense of Place’.

"I am delighted to be exhibiting in The Roost," she said. "It's a wonderful light space which beautifully highlights the lovely, earthy organic colours in the pieces, providing the perfect backdrop for my work. It's great to see Bray Leino championing local artists in this pioneering way."
Previous resident artists include Claire Scott.
